Gun Nuts Last Night: Pro Series Revolvers

Click here for last night's 30 minute episode of Gun Nuts Radio, which featured discussion on the Smith & Wesson Pro Series revolvers, a call in from Rep Mike Murphy to expand on the recent bills that passed the Indiana House, and finally a call from The Kevin Baker discussing property rights.

The show opened with about 10 minutes on the Pro Series guns, focusing primarily on the Model 60 J-Frame, the 686 SSR, and the 627 Pro. I've been very impressed with these guns so far, especially the Model 60 which has been living on my belt for the past several days. The gun carries great, and the 3 inch barrel with Trijicon night sight makes for an accurate concealed carry option.

After the gun talk, Mike Murphy came on to discuss two major bills that passed the Indiana House - our Parking Lots and Handgun Permit Database bill. That lead to the discussion on property rights that Kevin joined in on, which was a great way to wrap up last night's show. For the full show in .mp3 format, just click here. For our Apple fans out there, the show is always available by clicking the button for Gun Nuts Host - Gun Nuts Radio: The Next Generation of Shooting | Blog Talk Radio Feed - Gun Nuts Radio: The Next Generation of Shooting | Blog Talk Radio Feed which will open up the iTunes store and allow you to subscribe to the downloads.

Gun Nuts Radio: SHOT SHOT 2010

Thanks to everyone who listened live to last night's episode of Gun Nuts Radio, which was truly epic. We were pleased to welcome Patrick from Crimson Trace and Todd from Pistol-Training.Com. Patrick gave us a great rundown on the new products from Crimson Trace that we'll be seeing this year, including the new green laser vertical foregrip for the AR rifles, a new laser for fullsize Glocks, as well as a sneak pick into what Crimson Trace has on the burner. We then talked to Todd, who was kind enough to give us an inside look at almost all the cool handguns at the show this year. Here's a list of the guns Todd covered:

Of those, Todd said his favorite was probably the new guns from Sig, as they're a massive step up in ergonomics for the Sig line of pistols. It's actually possible to convert your existing P226 to the new E2 model by purchasing some parts from Sig. To listen to all of the show from last night and Todd's excellent description of the new guns and gear, click here for last night's Gun Nuts Radio. As usual, if you'd prefer the portable .mp3 version, that can be had as well.

The show is also available for download on Gun Nuts Host - Gun Nuts Radio: The Next Generation of Shooting | Blog Talk Radio Feed - Gun Nuts Radio: The Next Generation of Shooting | Blog Talk Radio Feed by clicking the box. Last night was a great show - also apparently there was some kind of election going on, which we did manage to get a bit of coverage on; I'll confess I was completely flabbergasted when I found out that Brown had actually delivered. I was expecting the Democrat machine to pull some filthy shenanigans; but it looks like they decided to cut bait and run.

Make sure to check out all of last night's Gun Nuts Radio - your number 1 source for shooting sports and new gear info!

Gun Nuts Radio last night: Rep Mike Murphy

What a show we had last night, especially for those of you that enjoy the political stuff. We were pleased to welcome State Representative Mike Murphy of Indianapolis to the show for the first half of the show. We had a great discussion on the bills that are in the Indiana General Assembly this year that will have a positive impact on gun owners in the state. The primary focus was on Rep. Murphy's bill, which is House Bill 1219. This bill would limit access to the handgun permit database to law enforcement only, preventing what occured with the Bloomington paper and the Indy Star from happening again. Also, Representative Murphy talked a bit about his bid for Indiana's 5th Congressional District...which happens to be my district, so you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be voting for him. If you'd like to listen to all of last night's excellent show, click here. Here is the .mp3 copy.

After Rep. Murphy, we welcomed Marko, the Munchkin Wrangler himself to the show as our featured blogger of the week. Marko was great, as he usually is, talking about his upcoming novel, raising children in a house with guns, as well as one of his best posts ever, "Why the Gun is Civilization".

To hear Marko's great appearance, just click here for last night's Gun Nuts Radio. The show is also available, as always, on Gun Nuts Host - Gun Nuts Radio: The Next Generation of Shooting | Blog Talk Radio Feed - Gun Nuts Radio: The Next Generation of Shooting | Blog Talk Radio Feed by clicking the button!

Thanks again to our great guests, and all the listeners that took advantage of our new TalkBack Email box at gunnutsradio@gmail.com. Next week's show is going to be great, as we'll be talking about the new products launched at SHOT SHOW! Be here at 9pm Eastern next Tuesday for your inside scoop on SHOT!

Gun Nuts tonight: New Rugers and more!

Join us tonight on Gun Nuts Radio, live at 9pm Eastern time! Tonight's show is going to be a lot of fun, as we've got a lot of ground to cover. Our first topic will be the new guns from Ruger, the Ruger SR9c, the GP100 in .327, and of course the 8 shot Blackhawk in .327. After that, we'll be talking about a couple of news stories, including the story from the NBA about pro athletes brandishing guns, as well as some interesting news items from here in Indiana. Finally, we're going to launch our newest segment, which should be popular: Blogger of the week. Each week when possible we'll be talking to a prominent blogger, or a blogger that we feel you should be reading. Tonight's featured blogger is our very own Breda, because hey, what better way to launch a new segment than for me to put Breda on the spot?

It's all tonight at 9pm Eastern time at www.blogtalkradio.com/gunnuts - this is the place to be for shooting sports and firearms related news and politics!
